Ian joined the Board in November 2021 following a skills-based advertising campaign for new trustees. Ian’s record as a senior manager at director level from the rural and equine supply industry with marketing, procurement, retail sales, budget and personnel management experience, was an ideal match for Redwings.

His extensive knowledge of the equine and equestrian sectors is an asset for the charity and we are fortunate he already has experience of being a volunteer and a trustee. He is also the Chair of a federation of school governors. Ian owns and breeds event horses, is an international equestrian sports commentator and enjoys riding and keeping active through sport.

Ian's favourite Redwings’ resident: Maya, in that all such beautiful mares should not end up in terrible conditions needing rescuing.
