We try to never say 'No' to any request for help. We currently have 140 equines in our care. Sadly, every year the number of equines that need to come in rises and every year our feeding, farrier and veterinary costs rise. It is only with the financial helpand support from the public that the dedicated work of the santuary can continue. At least three quarters of our animals will stay with us for the rest of their lives and in most cases this means quite a few years. We aim to alleviate pain and suffering and improve the quality of life.
We have recently been able to buy a rug drying room which makes a huge difference to the horses and our expenses. We have implemented a rehabilitation programme and some of our horses and ponies have been able to go out on loan to good homes, all homes are vetted and regular checks are made.
We are currently raising funds to replace our field shelters and for a new pole barn which we use to store our hay for the winter months. We produce as much of our own hay as we can to limit expenditure. All monies raised goesback into the care of our horses, ponies and donkeys.
