The Sanctuary is making steady progress in the construction of the various health facilities required for the animals. Before opening the new Sanctuary, we built a 25 stable hospital block and since then we have added a diagnostic room next to our operating/padded recovery room. |
The weekly Vet Clinic and routine teeth rasping are carried out by Parkside Veterinary Group. Ian Hunter and Alistair Crozier are two of the vets who come to the Sanctuary. Ian and Alastair are both accomplished and respected vets and we are very grateful to them for their care, detail to attention and treatment that they give to all our horses.

Our Farrier comes every other week. Feet trimming,replacing shoes and making and fitting new shoes keep him very busy. Dave Wilson has many years experience as a Farrier. He comes from an established and well known family of Farriers and along with his father was one of the judges at the 2006 Highland Show. |
