The care, treatment and re-homing of equines is reliant on support from businesses, charities, trusts and individuals.

WELFARE

Many horses arrive at Mountains Animal Sanctuary with profound health problems so, in addition to their day to day care, some will need ongoing treatment as well as regular checks on teeth etc.

We continue to be grateful to Parkside Vets who pay weekly visits here to look after the health of our animals. Dave Wilson, from the well established family firm of farriers, also pays fortnightly visits. Many of the horses no longer require shoes, but they do all need regular hoof trimming and with his son, Josh (the eighth generation of this family business which was formed in 1830), this side of our animals’ welfare could not be in better hands.

EXAMPLE:

Wee Ben arrived at the Sanctuary with his best friend, Jude. He was hand reared after being orphaned and consequently, he’s not sure how to behave like an equine.

Read more about Wee Ben's continuing rehabilitation, the Re-homing and Adoption Re-homing process ... and contact us now with any enquiries that you may have.

DONATIONS:

To our Registered Charity:

The continuance of work of Mountains Animal Sanctuary is totally reliant on public, corporate and supplier support, donations, legacies, etc. For this, we remain permanently grateful.
