Adoption List:

Tabitha

TABITHA – Grey Donkey

I’m 26 years old and came to the Sanctuary with my mum, Twee and my brother, Hendry. Sadly my mum passed on and so has my big brother Hendry. I spend most of my time with my best friend, Friday. We are always together and don’t like to be apart, even at feed times. I do like the summer months when it is warm, but I’m not so keen on the colder months. I do get a cosy rug on to keep me warm though.

SACHA - Cob

SACHA - Cob

I’m 15 and am enjoying retirement at the Sanctuary after working hard at the Riding for The Disabled organisation. My best friend is Shamrock the cob and we like grazing together and giving each other a good scratch. We could be twins because we look so alike.

RUSTY – Brown Shetland

RUSTY – Brown Shetland

I’m 24 years old and have lived at the Sanctuary all my life after being born here. My mum used to be on this list but sadly passed away last year. I love being brushed but can’t have treats as I sometimes suffer from laminitis. My dad is Crisp who is also my best friend. You can read about him later.

NELLIE – Black Shetland

NELLIE – Black Shetland

I’m 24 years old and arrived at the Sanctuary in 1994 with my friends, Hector and Victor. Some people call me ‘Nellie with the Belly’, but I like to think I’ve just got big bones! I need to watch my weight so I don’t get sore feet and I’m not allowed treats but I do love being brushed.

CRISP – Chestnut Gelding

CRISP – Chestnut Gelding

I came to the Sanctuary in June 1985, when it was in Kent, England. I am 9.3hh and chestnut with a flaxen mane. I am one of life’s good ‘doers’. I do need to watch my figure as I have a tendency to gain weight. I share a paddock with my son Rusty and we are generally found grazing quietly, side by side. I am a really friendly but cheeky boy and love being groomed and cuddled.

FRIDAY – Brown Donkey

FRIDAY – Brown Donkey

I’m called ‘Friday’ because I was named on Good Friday. I came here in 1995. I can’t be in a dusty environment as it affects my breathing. I have a condition called RAO (Respiratory Airway Obstruction) which is similar to human asthma. Luckily, I don’t need any medication but in winter I have to come into the stables. My friend Tabitha comes in with me too. We are such good friends; we go everywhere together and she is my best pal.
